Den 7 VIsits KDWB

Posted on May 10 2015 - 9:04pm

Den 7 visited KDWB on February 15th.  A former Pack 337 Cub Scout leader was our gracious host during our visit.  The scouts and young siblings had the opportunity to see what a typical ratio station looked like, and they had the opportunity to hear a live show in progress and hear their recorded voices. Thanks, Dave, for a great afternoon!

Due to a scheduling conflict our Winter Camporee, originally scheduled for Saturday, February 7-8th at the 10 Sports Dome in Orono, is now moving to the following weekend, Saturday, February 14-15th.  The Winter Camporee will now be held Northern Star Council’s Base Camp.  Yes, we understand this is Valentine’s Day weekend, but all of the spouses that we consulted with were OK with celebrating Valentine’s Day a day earlier or a day later instead (but just this one time).

Polar Cubs Camp!

Posted on Dec 26 2014 - 5:15pm
I am coordinating the Pack sign-up for the 2015 Polar Cubs Camp.  My son, Matt, and I have attended Polar Cubs Camp the past three years, and my son, John, participated for the first time last year and they both really enjoyed themselves.  Last year we had plenty of snow, so the scouts (and those parents willing to try J) spent plenty of time tubing down a well designed hill at the camp.  Looks like helmets are now mandated for tubers, which is definitely appropriate considering the speed of travel when tubing down this hill.  I realize the date selected for us to attend Polar Cubs Camp, February 28th, seems far away, but these camps fill up fast so it’s best we make plans soon.
